TOTAL GIRLY POST
(i currently dont have self tanner on. i have 3 kids (see Dora in the back ground..ALLLRighty then.. lol...soon!)
Its Officially SUMMER! lol... i guess that is what all the ALMOST 100 degree days mean...
so, with that being said..... im so tired of seeing chics walking around friggin ORANGE from self tanner! i mean seriously.... COME ON! these girls are walking around all... "i *THINK*i look cute... but my fingers are orange, and my toes look insane and streaky arms, but look at my cute shoes!" REALLY!? does no one have the guts to tell them? sad...
I had skin cancer, so "fake bake" is the only way i go... PERIOD. i like spray tan, but it would rub off and look splotchy tooo fast for the price. my self tanner NEVER does. IF i maintain it!
its easy...
how to apply self tanner 101
SCRUB your entire body! everywhere.. LIKE ALOT, especially feet.. and
DONT shave legs right before you do it, or you will have tiny little pore size orange spots.
MOISTURIZE-everywhere you plan on putting the self tanner. especially extra in dry areas. (heels, elbows, between toes, cuticles of toes, knees. etc... )
i use a blow dryer to speed up drying on COOL setting... go to town with it...
**~~**THEN**~~**
APPLY self tanner,
start with feet and work your way up.
once you think it is on good in a spot, ITS NOT, keep going in cirlces.
make sure you
BLEND around neck and wrists and bottom of feet.. i always
add some lotion when i get to neck. you don't need alot, the sun already hits you there.
Again, i
use a blow dryer, cool setting, and dry everywhere i applied it. untill it is DRY. period.
GOOD grief
don't do your face, buy some flipping bronzer! my sis in law prefers the physicians formula, but i use bare minerals warmth. around temples, sides of nose, and under chin..voila!
WASH it off your fingers and hands. trust me there is enough soaked in from doing rest of your body, when you wash hands just dry them, and then you will feel the "line" of lotion, just blend it toward hands, but DONT add more. again, sun hits you there.. your good.
try and do it early evening or afternoon (if you have no kids..haha) and then
wear as little as clothing as possible . at least untill the morning. then, your good to go.
MAINTAIN- NOW, the above steps are time consuming. BUT if you do it right, then the next step is you need to add the "gradual tanner" stuff like every week or so. (UP TO YOU)
IF you maintain correctly you can shave like normal, swim, etc.. and be fine.
you won't need to do this whole scrub/moisturize routine again till next summer. unless you choose to scrub like mid summer, then do this again. just keep this tan maintained.

PRODUCTS i use:
*
loreal sublime bronze gel self tanner.
i prefer gel. (but i did recently use the lotion of this "sublime bronze line and it worked well too)
*
Jergens Natural glow daily moisturizer medium to dark firming gradual tanner (the firming part doesn't matter)
u use whatever you want, but not dollar store stuff please.
i suggest pay at least 10 bucks for each. if you spend less, you have more of a chance of "orange color".
ok, now that i got that out of my system.. have a nice summer!
